Vintage Paragon bone china tea cup and saucer in the petit point needlepoint chintz pattern — an allover cross-stitch–style floral of pink roses with yellow and blue blooms on a black mosaic ground, finished with a central rose motif inside the cup and on the saucer. Gilt scalloped rims and a footed cup. Both pieces carry the Paragon "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen / Fine Bone China / England Reg'd" backstamp, with a gilt hand-painted pattern number to the cup foot. Condition — please read, sold as-is: there is a small chip with glaze loss to the upper edge of the handle, where the gilt has worn away (see the close-up photo). It does not extend into a crack. Apart from the handle, the set presents nicely — bright glaze, crisp needlepoint print, gilt rims with only light wear, and no cracks or crazing noted on the cup bowl or saucer.
