A wonderful pair of vintage Laurel Burch cloisonné enamel earrings in the iconic "Hieroglyphic Cats" design — three stylized cats in lavender, yellow, and cream stack vertically against a bright red enamel ground, finished with a black-and-white chevron base. A signature piece from the legendary San Francisco artist-designer Laurel Burch (1945–2007), whose whimsical animal-themed jewelry has been collected for over four decades.

The earrings are crafted in gold-plated base metal with hand-set cloisonné enamel — a technique where colored enamel is fired into raised wire cells, creating jewel-like brilliance with crisp outlines. The reverse is clearly signed "HIEROGLYPHIC CATS / Laurel Burch ©®" — a hallmark of authenticity for this collectible designer piece. Original gold-filled French hook ear wires with rubber stoppers.
